Walter Raim

Born 25 Dec, 1935 , died 12 Jun, 2004. Member of The Belafonte Folk Singers (guitarist, baritone). Walter who lends his baritone voice to the Folk Singers as well as accompanying the group on guitar, received his B.A. in Music at CCNY and his M.A. in Music Education from Teachers College, Columbia. He is a faculty member of the Neighborhood Music School and the Metropolitan  Music School. Raim has served as accompanist for singers Geoffrey Holder, Leon Bibb, Ellie Stone and the Oranim Zabar Israeli Troupe. A member of The Harvesters, a folk quartet, Walter recorded an album with the group called "Pastures of Plenty" on the Audio-Video label.
Walter has also produced, arranged and conducted the following albums:  Bob Harter, Liberty LST-7330. Chad Mitchell WS1667. Has also made some arrangements for Bobby Darin.
